Primary
Welcome to Interkids Bilingual School (IBS 2)
The primary national policy objective of IBS for education is to provide an education system that achieves
high quality standards, broad coverage, relevant and cost-effectiveness in delivering service.
The IBS 2 primary section, which is from Grade 1 to Grade 6 was started on November 30, 1999 in a modern
new building, just across the IBS 1 Kindergarten building. At the primary school, we admit students who are above
six years of age. The primary section is also equipped with modern
learning tools and high-tech facilities which are conducive to learning. The teaching staff consists of Native English Speakers from Great Britain, Australia, Canada,
New Zealand, USA, and other English nations. There are also teachers from Asia who are specialized in their own
field of education and hold masters degree. The curriculum is designed by an experienced and qualified team on the lines of modern Active Learning Methodology.
A lot of emphasis is given to extra curricular activities for full development of each student. The school also has the
facility for Taekwondo, Thai dance, Music, Gymnastics, Sports etc. The school has a state of the art computer lab
and students are taught to use computers from the start of their education.

The secondary education which serves as a bridge between primary and higher education is expected to prepare
young learners between age group of 13 to 15 in the world of work and entry into higher education. The secondary education starts with classes from Grade 7 to Grade 9 leading to higher secondary classes from Grade 10 to Grade 12.

The subjects are English Language, English Reading, Computer, International Studies, Maths, Science, Physical Education (P.E), Thai Language, Thai Career, Thai Maths, Thai Science and Thai Social. The students are also
required to take the Cambridge Examination for Key English
Test (KET) and Preliminary English Test (PET). This examination
helps the students to be more enhanced and upgraded in terms of their English speaking abilities, reading and comprehension skills and Linguistics as well.
Students coming to IBS have varied experiences in the area of Information Technology (IT). There is a computer lab
with access to the internet. Each class has a set time twice a week to work in the computer lab.

The students are using computer notebook with wireless connection to internet. With the help of the computer teacher, training is given to students to do Inquiry Projects, Research Projects, Power Point Presentations and how to use the internet efficiently. Our goal is to be able to have a bank of computers in every classroom which would be connected
to the internet for immediate classroom research. We have been able to purchase digital cameras, digital movie cameras and some brand new computers for video production. We have also been able to replace some of the old computers
with new ones. The teaching staffs are specialized in their own field of education to be able to prepare the secondary students in achieving their goals in life. |
